Tell me who’s coming
Let me know how many people will be there and the children’s ages. If you want a photo of the whole family, the children together, or grandparents with their grandchildren, mention those combinations before we meet.
If a child needs time to settle in, or someone needs a place to sit, tell me when we plan the session. That helps us choose a suitable spot and keep the walking manageable.
Pick one area
Battery Park City’s Esplanade and The Battery’s gardens are the usual settings, with Duane Park and Seaport nearby. You can see the suggested meeting points on the locations page. Sessions north of 14th Street have a $50 travel fee, which I’ll request by email after you book.
We’ll keep the route nearby. Moving between several neighborhoods would use up much of a 45-minute session. If you have a particular background in mind, email before booking so we can check whether it will work.
Getting ready
Wear clothes you can walk and sit in. For children, check that shoes and layers are comfortable before the day. A small bag with anything they usually need is more useful than lots of props.
The session includes 20 edited images, delivered within 14 calendar days after your shoot. If you need them sooner, email before booking.
