Where we can meet
Starting points for outdoor photos in Manhattan, beginning with Battery Park City. Choose a setting you like, then we’ll confirm the exact meeting place.
Most sessions take place in Battery Park City and The Battery. You don’t need to live here to book.
These are suggestions, rather than a fixed route. Tell me which spot you prefer or ask about another place. Sessions north of 14th Street have a $50 travel fee. Book as usual, and Diana will send a request for the fee by email after you book. I’ll check the location and confirm where and when we’ll meet.
Battery Park City
Battery Park City Esplanade
Waterfront paths, planting, and open views across the harbor. This is where most sessions happen, and the easiest place for us to meet.
Where to meet
The Esplanade at South Cove, near First Place.
Open meeting point in MapsA short route
Start at South Cove and walk a short stretch of the Esplanade, with garden and railing backgrounds close together.
Before choosing this spot
The Esplanade can be windy and busy on weekend afternoons. We’ll check current access and any permission needed before confirming the meeting point.

The Battery gardens
Trees, planting, and garden paths at the southern tip of Manhattan. Consider this if you’d prefer a park background to a street.
Where to meet
The park entrance on State Street opposite Bridge Street.
Open meeting point in MapsA short route
Use the pedestrian paths near the State Street entrance, with a short walk between backgrounds.
Before choosing this spot
The planting changes with the seasons. We’ll check the route for current access and park works before confirming the meeting point.

Duane Park & nearby streets
A small park with trees and benches, surrounded by brick buildings. Consider it if you’d like some greenery without a long walk.
Where to meet
The Duane Park entrance on Hudson Street, at Duane Street.
Open meeting point in MapsA short route
Start at the park, then use nearby Duane and Hudson Street sidewalks if we want another background.
Before choosing this spot
The park is small and shared with other visitors. We’ll choose the meeting time around your schedule and the light, and keep a nearby option in mind if it’s busy.

Staple Street & Harrison Street
Brick walls, cobblestones, and the skybridge overhead. The block is short, so several street backgrounds are close together.
Where to meet
The sidewalk at the corner of Harrison Street and Staple Street.
Open meeting point in MapsA short route
Meet on Harrison Street and stay around the Staple Street block. We’ll take photos from public sidewalks and keep doorways clear.
Before choosing this spot
Cobblestones can be uneven, which is worth considering with a stroller or if walking is difficult. Weekday mornings may be quieter, but the street won’t be reserved for us.
Ask about this spotSouth Street Seaport
Seaport streets
Historic storefronts and cobblestone streets around Front and Fulton. Choose this for street photos; ask separately if you want river or bridge views.
Where to meet
The pedestrian area at the corner of Fulton Street and Front Street.
Open meeting point in MapsA short route
Stay near Front and Fulton Streets. We’ll agree on a different starting point if the waterfront is your priority.
Before choosing this spot
Shops, restaurants, and other visitors can make the area busy. A weekday morning is worth considering. Waterfront photos need a separate plan for access, light, and wind.
Ask about this spotHave somewhere else in mind?
Email me with the place you have in mind and any access needs. Battery Park City waterfront routes need a separate check because construction affects parts of the area. We’ll confirm access and any location permissions before agreeing on the meeting point.
